Hello and welcome to Yoot Tower!

You are now part of the Tower family and we hope that you will 
enjoy Yoot Tower as much as we enjoyed creating it!  This game 
has many unique features that make it different from any other
simulation game available.  We encourage you to explore and 
uncover the magic of Yoot Tower, as it was created to mimic 
real human behavior.

We would like to take a moment to explain a few things that we 
think are important to note.


Installation Process:

Before running the Yoot Tower 'Installer', please disable 'File Sharing'
in the 'Control Panel'.

When running the Yoot Tower 'Installer', please allow the application
to run in the foreground until the installation process has finished.

You must use the mouse with the  Yoot Tower 'Installer' in order for 
it to recognize your input.

The Yoot Tower 'Installer' will create Yoot Tower with optional 
'Plug-ins'.  You must select them during the install process by checking 
the appropriate boxes.  You may choose not to install these 
plug-ins in order to reduce the amount of hard disk space used by 
Yoot Tower.  However, you will need to install the 'Basic Package' 
in order to play Yoot Tower.  You may add additional plug-in 
items, such as 'Kegon Falls' and the 'Movie Package', at a later time 
as your hard disk storage capacity allows.


Viewing Movies:

In order to view any movies during gameplay, you must have
installed the 'Movie Package' or have the Yoot Tower CD in your
CD-ROM drive.


Adding and Removing Plug-ins:

After installation you will notice an application called 'Installer'.
This application works just like the 'Installer' on the Yoot Tower 
CD-ROM.  Use this 'Installer' when you want to install additional
plug-in packages or remove plug-in packages.  When launching
this application, you will need to direct the file browser to the
'Yoot_Install' data file, found on the Yoot Tower CD-ROM.


Optimization:

If you would like to maximize the performance of Yoot Tower on
your computer, we recommend trying some or all of the 
following:

¥ Quit all background applications.
¥ Disable 'File Sharing' in the 'Control Panel'.
¥ Make sure that 'Virtual Memory' in the Memory Control Panel is
   turned off.
¥ Reduce the number of resident silhouttes in the 'Settings' item,
   under the 'Function' menu.
¥ Reduce the size of the main gameplay window.
¥ Turn-off sounds in the 'Settings' item, under the 'Function' menu.
¥ Reduce the amount of elevator shafts in your building... be 
   efficient and speed will be your reward!


Monitor Setting:

After running Yoot Tower, you may want to return the number of
colors on your monitor to it's original setting, if it was changed
to 256 by Yoot Tower.
